Stainless steel vacuum plating, water plating, electroplating

Vacuum plating is performed by surface vapor deposition using physical vapor deposition. It is carried out under high vacuum conditions without rectifiers, plating baths, plating solutions, etc. Electroplating is based on the principle of electrolysis. In a certain plating solution, the plated parts are cathodes and need to be plated. The metal is an anode and is passed through a direct current to deposit the metal ions on the plated part.

Water plating is electroplating. Stainless steel vacuum plating is easier than other materials. Stainless steel plating is more complicated than steel parts, mainly due to bonding problems.

Water plating is a method of laying a layer of metal on a conductor by the principle of electrolysis.

In addition to electrical conductors, electroplating can also be used on specially treated plastics.

The process of electroplating is basically as follows:

Connect the plated metal to the positive electrode

The object to be plated is connected to the negative electrode

The positive and negative electrodes are connected by an electrolyte solution composed of the plated metal positive ions.

After the DC power supply is passed, the metal of the positive electrode is oxidized (electron lost), and the positive ions in the solution are reduced at the negative electrode (obtaining electrons) into atoms and accumulate on the surface of the negative electrode.

The appearance of the plated object after electroplating is related to the magnitude of the current. The smaller the current, the more beautiful the object to be plated; otherwise, the uneven shape will appear.

The main uses of electroplating include protection against metal oxidation (such as rust) and decoration. The outer layers of many coins are also electroplated.

Sewage from electroplating (such as electrolytes that are ineffective) is an important source of water pollution.

Vacuum plating

Vacuum plating mainly includes vacuum evaporation, sputtering plating and ion plating. They are all used to deposit various metal and non-metal thin films on the surface of plastic parts by distillation or sputtering under vacuum conditions. The method can obtain very thin surface coating, and has the outstanding advantages of fast adhesion, but the price is also high, and the type of metal that can be operated is small, and is generally used for functional coating of higher-grade products, for example, as internal The shield is used.
